I am a contemporary art quilter living in Vietnam. I am constantly inspired by the life around me, the green of the rice fields, the colors in the markets and the people. I have a passion for color, I love it! I love to play with it, move it around see what it does. I dye my own fabrics to get just the right shade to make my quilts sing. My work starts with a single color and a seed of an idea, as I bring in more color and shapes the piece starts to unfold and make its self known to me. I work spontaneously and intuitively. I love the hand cut lines of my quilts , they are about color and movement. I have my quilts hand quilted by Hong because it brings a natural feel and softness to my work. All my quilts are made from 100% hand dyed cotton, they are machine pieced and hand quilted. I am also available for commission projects.
